Her Own Journey Back to Good Health
Not so long ago, I experience my own health crisis. It started with food sensitivities, reflux, and then asthma. I kept wondering how someone could develop asthma in their 30’s. Chemical sensitivities began bothering me. I couldn’t endure the scent of my neighbor’s dryer sheets as they billowed out the vents of the house. I experienced brain fog, fatigue, constipation, bloating and was forced to adhere to a highly restricted diet while simultaneously attempting to prepare different meals for my family.
I realized that as a dietitian, I had access to all the tools and resources I needed to find my own answers for regaining digestive health again. I embraced dietary changes, looking at some of my lifestyle factors, and addressed my stress levels. During my journey, my eyes were opened to how many other people were suffering from all kinds of digestive problems — many similar to my own. I worked in pediatrics with children who had nutritional problems and related developmental delays. Many of these children had failure to thrive, reflux, food allergies and food sensitivities and constipation. Once I regained my health, I decided to make digestive health the focus of my work.
I believe that most digestive problems can be improved or overcome with the correct plan. I will give you the knowledge, resources, confidence and skills you need to enjoy good health again. I will make it easy for you by walking along beside you on this journey to regain good health.
I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my husband and two teenage sons. Both of my boys have played hockey for years, so much of my free time is spent traveling around to different hockey rinks and watching them play. I also love to cook and spent countless hours developing new recipes. Fortunately, I have some hearty appetites to feed, so they are usually willing to test my creations.
